Walnut Brownies!

CAUTION: Brownies may put you in a slight food coma, but I promise, it will be worth every single bite!

These  rich, dense, fudgy cakes are easily on the top of my TEN FAVORITE dessert list. They can also be customized in infinite number of ways – cheesecake brownies, peanut butter brownies, caramel brownies, oreo mint brownies, strawberry brownies.. you name it!

This brownie recipe, however, is one for a walnut brownie. They are incredible and NOT only because it takes only 40 minutes to make but also because they are outrageously delicious!

Recipe source: Played around with different sources and came up with my own easy-peasy recipe!

Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients:

  • Semi sweet dark chocolate chips – 5 oz
  • Eggs – 2
  • All purpose flour – 1 cup ( You can also use half wheat flour and half plain flour)
  • Sugar – 1 cup (I used brown sugar for a unique flavor and texture)
  • Butter – 1/2 cup, softened
  • Vegetable oil – 4 tsps
  • Walnuts – 10 or 12 nuts (optional)

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a microwave bowl, add chocolate chips and butter. Melt them together for about 45 seconds.

Next add in the flour, vegetable oil and mix well without lumps. Finally add in the walnuts, if using.

Pour in to a greased baking pan and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the center is just right (check with the edge of a fork)

Enjoy hot with Whipped cream and berries or if you’re really looking to push these brownies over the edge, top them with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of hot fudge sauce!
